Our APRA Malaysia National Rounds 2025 are designed to be accessible from any location. Teams will receive their challenges in advance, submit performance videos for remote review, and learn their results—all within a defined timeline to ensure fairness and clarity.

Step-by-Step Competition Structure

1. Challenge Release & Preparation

1 July 2025 : All category challenges are published on the APRA portal. Teams may practice on-site or in their own labs.

2. Submission Window & Requirement

11–15 August 2025 : Provide a Project Overview (max. 500 words with up to three supporting images or a 3-minute video), along with Technical Documentation—including schematics, source code, and sensor specifications—in a single PDF file. Then upload a demonstration video (max. 3 minutes) showing your robot completing the mission challenges. All files must be in the following formats and under 50 MB: PDF for documents; MP4 for videos.

3. Online Judging

16 - 20 August 2025 : Judges will review all submissions asynchronously, evaluating each team on:

Technical Innovation: Creativity and complexity of the robot’s design and programming.
Documentation: Clarity and thoroughness of the technical documents and video presentation.
Team Collaboration: Evidence of effective teamwork and problem-solving throughout the project.
Accuracy & Task Completion: How effectively the robot completes the missions, with a recommended showcase session.

All entries will be assessed for strategy and compliance with the official game rules.

4. Results & Awards Announcement

22 August 2025 : Winners (Champion; 1st–3rd Runners-Up; Excellence) are announced on the APRA website and via email. Champions qualify for the APRA International Final in Ho Chi Minh City on 29 November 2025.
